The aim of the DeepSky system is to develop an innovative ground-based sky monitoring system, based on the analysis of digital images of the sky dome, the modelling of solar/thermal radiation transfer, and the use of computer vision and deep learning methods to calculate various atmospheric parameters and physical quantities.
The DeepSky system makes use of the simultaneous acquisition and analysis of data from cameras operating in the visible and thermal infrared ranges, enabling the estimation of multiple geophysical parameters.
